SheCan Retreats New for 2020
Set in the heart of the Sussex countryside SheCan takes over a large beautiful house and its extensive grounds and
woodland for a 3-day SheCan residential experience.
Arrival is 4pm on Friday, we’ll get settled in and then do a 2-hour workshop covering all the tools we will be learning to use over the weekend. A delicious home-made supper is then served, outside on the deck if weather permits.
On Saturday after a hearty breakfast we get stuck into the SheCan foundation skills that have proved priceless on our other courses. You’ll learn to cut timber, metal and plastic, you’ll drill holes of all shapes and sizes and then you’ll start making and repairing things.
A lite lunch is served, and time for a stroll through the private woods, and explore the grounds.
Then you’ll practise hanging mirrors, making and putting up shelves, curtain poles, these jobs crop up all the time, so we make sure you’ve got it nailed.
Because of the substantial grounds the retreat is set in you can also have a go at doing some basic fence fixing, mixing cement and repairing walls and paving and of course attaching hanging baskets to outside walls, another SheCan favourite!
On Saturday evening we BBQ and relax with our new SheCan friends.
Sunday sees us running through plumbing after brunch. We look at the common reasons for the leak under the sink, and how to change taps. This leads onto you re-sealing a bath or shower.
We’ll save a couple hours to look at your specific projects and lots of Q &A time, so on leaving the retreat you’ll be armed with the skills, confidence and SheCan community spirit to Do It Yourself back at home!
Price: £350 - includes accommodation, food and SheCan workshops
Our next Retreat is Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th April 2020
