SheCan Retreats    Quote from the magnificent 2022 Somerset seven  "Fantastic venue, an inspirational group, loads of learning, lots of laughs, awseome food and even some relaxing in the pool."   Our next Retreat will be in 2024 - register your interest and when we have details you'll be the first to find out!  Register Your Interest Here    How our Retreats Work

MONDAY
Once we've had a meet and greet with our new SheCan friends, we’ll get settled in and then do a 2-hour workshop covering all the tools we will be learning to use over the retreat.

A delicious home-made supper is then served and enjoyed whilst we get to know one another a little more and what you hope to get out of your SheCan experience.

We usually have a guest speaker join us for supper to talk DIY.

TUESDAY
After a hearty breakfast, we get stuck into the SheCan foundation skills that have proved priceless on our other courses.

You’ll learn to cut timber, metal and plastic, you’ll drill holes of all shapes and sizes and then you’ll start making and repairing things.

A lite lunch is served and time for a stroll to explore your surroundings.

Then you’ll practise hanging mirrors, making and putting up shelves, curtain poles, these jobs crop up all the time, so we make sure you’ve got it nailed.

In the evening we usually have a DIY based slide show and quiz.

WEDNESDAY
See's us crack on with more drilling and fixing skills, wobble doors and hinges, adjusting kitchen cabinet doors.

After another scrummy lunch we'll investigate some plumbing and electrical common problems, how to get them fixed and keeping safe.

We also explore some outdoor projects like mixing concrete, repairing fences, useful garden building skills, and of course attaching hanging baskets to outside walls, another SheCan favourite!

Supper and a Q&A session.
THURSDAY
On our last morning we take an early breakfast and check out, leaving us a couple hours to run through any projects you have planned and how SheCan can further support you with these.

Everyone receives a full set of SheCan Course notes in PDF format via email the day after the retreat, including details of the facebook 'graduates' group, and Matts mobile number, so on leaving the retreat you’ll be armed with the skills, confidence and SheCan community spirit to Do It Yourself back at home!
